Bronze Wall
19 Therefore thus says the Lord:
“If you return, I will restore you,
and you shall stand before me.
If you utter what is precious, and not what is worthless,
you shall be as my mouth.
They shall turn to you,
but you shall not turn to them.
20 And I will make you to this people
a fortified wall of bronze;
they will fight against you,
but they shall not prevail over you,
for I am with you
to save you and deliver you,
declares the Lord.
21 I will deliver you out of the hand of the wicked,
and redeem you from the grasp of the ruthless.”
Jeremiah 15:19-21

Bronze Wall
Make no mistake. The devil wants you dead. He will try all he can to keep you in the chains of death and the power of sin. The Lord Jesus is victorious over the devil’s rule. He has crushed the head of the devil and loosed the bonds sin has placed over you. The Lord desires that no one perish, but that all repent and live. So, he calls you by the Gospel. He enlightens you with his gifts. He takes care of the transformation. You have received the washing and renewal of the Holy Spirit. It is only God that can give you this regeneration. He transforms you with the gifts of Jesus’ cross. You live because of Jesus’ victory over all your enemies. It is Jesus that makes you a fortified wall of bronze. No enemy has dominion over you any longer. No accusation holds any water. Every attack is knocked down. You are God’s own. He has paid the price and delights in you.
