Altar Guild
The Altar Guild is a group of dedicated women responsible for preparing Communion and decorating the church for festival seasons. They sponsor the annual Mother-Daughter Banquet, the first Saturday in March, of which the proceeds are used to purchase altar furnishings for the church.
Lutheran Women in Mission
The Lutheran Women’s Missionary League (LWML) is an official  auxiliary of The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod. For over 77 years, the LWML has focused on affirming each woman’s relationship with Christ, encouraging and equipping women to live out their Christian lives in active mission ministries and to support global missions.
Cheerful Helpers is the name of OSL's LWML Society. We are part of the White Oak Zone, which is comprised of nine churches in Houston. We meet the second Sunday of April, September, and December at 2 pm in the Bible Classroom.
There are currently three circles in the Cheerful Helpers.

Joseph's Guild of Colors meets at the church on the second Monday and Friday of the month from 9am to 2 pm. Their ministry works to make quilts for Lutheran World Relief.
Night Circle meets the third Tuesday of each month at 7 pm in the OSL Family Room. They have Bible Study, support missions, and help families in need from within our congregation and without, by supporting them in prayer and offering financial aid when needed.
Potter's Vessel meets the first Monday of the month at 6:30 pm in the OSL Family Room or  in a member's home with a flexible schedule posted in the bulletin. Their ministry focus includes Bible study and choosing a variety of missions for individuals or groups as needs arise.
