The Breath of All Mankind
In his hand is the life of every living thing and the breath of all mankind. Does not the ear test words as the palate tastes food? Wisdom is with the aged, and understanding in length of days.
Job 12:10-12

The Breath of All Mankind
God is the creator and sustainer of all good things. He holds His creation in the palm of His hands from whence He protects and nurtures it. In the beginning of creation God spoke everything into existence, but when it came time to create man, He did more than just speak us into existence. He formed Adam with His own hands and then breathed life into him. In this same way He breathes life into all mankind. This goes to the heart of our relationship with our Creator. He is not a distant uncaring God, who has no time for His creation. He is in fact a God which cares so much for us that He left the richness of heaven to humble Himself in our flesh, so that through Christ we could be reconciled to our Father. And with His Gospel the breath of God comes to us as the Holy Spirit called us, enlightens us with His gifts, and sanctifies and kept us in the true faith. We now rest secured in His nail pierced hands, where the life of every believer is tenderly kept until we are called home.
