Every Promise Kept

23 When the soldiers had crucified Jesus, they took his garments and divided them into four parts, one part for each soldier; also his tunic. But the tunic was seamless, woven in one piece from top to bottom, 24 so they said to one another, “Let us not tear it, but cast lots for it to see whose it shall be.” This was to fulfill the Scripture which says,
“They divided my garments among them,
and for my clothing they cast lots.”
John 19:23-24a

Every Promise Kept
Jesus takes on what you could not. He is obedient in two ways. He keeps every jot and tittle of the Law. He follows the Ten Commandments to the letter. His Spirit is willing and his flesh is strong. He also takes on your punishment for you. He steps into your place when he is crucified. You deserve the cross. Jesus takes it for you. This fulfills the will of the Heavenly Father. In days of old the prophets foretold that the Christ would do these things. Every little promise about this Christ was kept. Even his clothes are divided up and for his tunic they cast lots. The Old Testament promises are kept for you. God's Word is true. Jesus does all things well. He is your Savior and your King.
