Follow Him
18 Truly, truly, I say to you, when you were young, you used to dress yourself and walk wherever you wanted, but when you are old, you will stretch out your hands, and another will dress you and carry you where you do not want to go.” 19 (This he said to show by what kind of death he was to glorify God.) And after saying this he said to him, “Follow me.”

Follow Him
The Lord is faithful to his servants. His Word will accompany us where ever we go. Peter was to tend the flock of God's sheep in far away places. His lips would declare the Gospel to people on the other side of the Great Sea. He tells Peter that the journey will be difficult. There will be sorrow. The world will hate you because of this Word. The world will hate you because of Jesus. They will kill you because of me. Follow me anyway. There will be sorrow in each Christian's life. There will be hurt. The world will hate you because of Jesus. Follow him. They will attempt to strip you of all you have, but no one will be able to remove the joy that you have because of the victory Jesus has won for you. You are victorious with Jesus over sin and death and even the devil himself. Follow him. Receive his gifts. He goes where ever you go.
