The Last Hour

Children, it is the last hour, and as you have heard that antichrist is coming, so now many antichrists have come. Therefore we know that it is the last hour. They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would have continued with us. But they went out, that it might become plain that they all are not of us. But you have been anointed by the Holy One, and you all have knowledge. I write to you, not because you do not know the truth, but because you know it, and because no lie is of the truth.

The Last Hour
            As Christians, we walk in the light of Christ. We have His promise of salvation won for us on the cross. The victory is already ours. He has overcome death and the grave for our sake, yet we still live in a world that denies these truths. Antichrists come and attempt to stand in the place of Christ and lead the people of God away from this truth. But sin, death, and the devil all operate in the darkness. They are unable to stand in the presence of the Light of the world. And even though it may seem at times that the devil is winning, remember that the victory is already ours in Christ Jesus. In the last hours of the night, the darkest times can be the scariest, but we already know that the night will not last forever, and the light will soon scatter the darkness. So too is the antichrist scattered in the light of Christ and we stand in the light of His truth.
