No Uncertainty
I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life. And this is the confidence that we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will he hears us. And if we know that he hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests that we have asked of him.
1 John 5:13–15

No Uncertainty
There are many uncertain things in this life. We don’t always know the right answer or whether we made the right decision. This uncertainty and not knowing can cripple and paralyze many people. Yet when it comes to God and His love for us there is no doubt or uncertainty. He reveals His love to us in no uncertain terms. We know that we have eternal life. Knowing this gives us confidence before God and boldness before men. We know that God hears us when we pray. God knows how to give good gifts to His children. We do not always know what to ask, but His will is always for our salvation and for the salvation of all. We need never doubt that we are heard by God. We also know that what we ask for in faith God gives to us. God will give whatever we ask if it is good for our salvation and the salvation of our brother. This is especially true whenever we pray for others. In a world fraught with confusion and doubt, the certainty of God’s love for us, shown through Christ and His cross, gives confidence and hope beyond anything this world could offer.
