Divorce
It is not good that man should be alone. It was this way from the beginning of time. The very first time that God ever said that something wasn’t good is when he said that it wasn’t good for Adam to be alone. He puts the solitary in homes, and he places you in a family. He gives you a spouse and he bid you love each other. He says, “You should fear and love God so that you lead a sexually pure and decent life in what you say and do, and husbands and wives should love and honor each other.” All marriage are really just a reflection of the constant love and mercy that Jesus has for the Church. Each wedding is a celebration of the unending union of Christ to the Church. Even death will not be able to separate Jesus from you for all eternity. The Lord gathers his people together and redeems them by the shedding of his blood so that you could be bound together as his holy people. That holy people are his bride. You are his delight. Thanks be to God.
