To Live by Faith
For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek. For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith for faith, as it is written, “The righteous shall live by faith.”
Romans 1:16-17

To Live by Faith
Today, like never before in this country, many challenges to being a Christian present themselves. We are told to keep our religious views out of the workplace, out of the schools, out of the public square. Hostile forces have aligned to silence the Gospel message of Christ crucified for us. This has caused many of us, at times, to be embarrassed about our faith or hide our Christian identity. We have to easily yielded to the world’s pressures and have been ashamed of our Savior, but He is not ashamed of us. He took our sin, guilt, and shame on the cross and gave us His life and forgiveness. Receiving those gifts by faith, and empowered by the Spirit, we are no longer ashamed of the Gospel. We know it is God’s power “for salvation to everyone who believes.” We give thanks and praise to our Savior, Jesus Christ, for redeeming us and giving us His righteousness. In faith, we can boldly proclaim His blessed name.
