A New Heaven and A New Earth
For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is to be revealed to us. For the creation waits with eager longing for the revealing of the sons of God. For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of him who subjected it, in hope that the creation itself will be set free from its bondage to corruption and obtain the freedom of the glory of the children of God.

A New Heaven and A New Earth
The result of sin can be found everywhere and in everything. It is easy to look to the world and see man’s inhumanity towards one another and know it was not supposed to be that way. We can also look to creation, with natural disasters, drought, floods, the very ground God created for us to provide good produce now fighting us. Because of Adam’s sin, the earth now produces thorns and thistles, weeds and stinging plants. Oh, what we have caused with our sin. Yet into the midst of this brokenness, God sent His Son to die for us. So that we might be reconciled to Him. And on that last day of history, when what was accomplished on the cross comes to its final fulfillment, even creation will be made anew; it too will be released from its bondage to corruption as we humans live in eternity with our heavenly Father in the new heavens and new earth He gives us. All because of what Christ did on the cross. Thanks be to God for His love in sending His Son.
