But grace was given to each one of us according to the measure of Christ’s gift.

Christ's Measure
Grace has no strings attached. It means free gift. Free gift is redundant, but grace is that kind of gift. If you had to do something, if you had to pay something, if you had to be someone, it wouldn't be gift. But this is totally on the free measure of Christ to each of you. We try to impress. We try to add up the things we might have or that we may have done to impress, but Jesus wipes it all away in one fell swoop. He takes away the sins of the world and gives his life as a ransom for you. You don't deserve his gift, but he loves you and did it anyway.
