Faithful to the End

4 I give thanks to my God always for you because of the grace of God that was given you in Christ Jesus, 5 that in every way you were enriched in him in all speech and all knowledge— 6 even as the testimony about Christ was confirmed among you— 7 so that you are not lacking in any gift, as you wait for the revealing of our Lord Jesus Christ, 8 who will sustain you to the end, guiltless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ. 9 God is faithful, by whom you were called into the fellowship of his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.

Faithful to the End
Paul reminds us of the grace given to us in Christ Jesus, a grace that enriches our lives in every way. Through the gifts of the Holy Spirit, we are strengthened in faith, speech, and knowledge, not by our merit but by God's abundant grace. As Paul assures the Corinthians, so too are we assured that God is faithful, sustaining us until the end. God has called us into fellowship with His Son, and this calling is not a temporary arrangement. It is a lifelong, indeed, an eternal promise. Even when we stumble, God remains unwavering in His commitment to us. This faithfulness of God emboldens us to live confidently, trusting that He will preserve us blameless until the day of our Lord Jesus Christ. In a world that often feels unstable, let us rest in the certainty that our God is always faithful, strengthening us through His Word and Sacraments.
