Boasting in the Lord Alone

26 For consider your calling, brothers: not many of you were wise according to worldly standards, not many were powerful, not many were of noble birth. 27 But God chose what is foolish in the world to shame the wise; God chose what is weak in the world to shame the strong; 28 God chose what is low and despised in the world, even things that are not, to bring to nothing things that are, 29 so that no human being might boast in the presence of God. 30 And because of him you are in Christ Jesus, who became to us wisdom from God, righteousness and sanctification and redemption, 31 so that, as it is written, “Let the one who boasts, boast in the Lord.”
1 Corinthians 1:26-31

Boasting in the Lord Alone
The world often values strength, wisdom, and influence, yet God's ways are different. Paul reminds us that God chose what is foolish in the world to shame the wise and what is weak to shame the strong. This divine reversal humbles us, stripping away any grounds for boasting in ourselves. Our salvation, our righteousness, sanctification, and redemption are found in Christ alone. God’s grace shows that our worth does not come from human achievements but from Christ’s redeeming work. In a world obsessed with self-promotion, we boast in the Lord alone, recognizing that all we have is a gift from Him. Let us live each day with humility and gratitude, pointing others not to our own strengths or accomplishments, but to the One who has made us His own. "Let the one who boasts, boast in the Lord"—for He alone is our true boast and glory.
