Brotherly Love in Christ
13 Let brotherly love continue. 2 Do not neglect to show hospitality to strangers, for thereby some have entertained angels unawares. 3 Remember those who are in prison, as though in prison with them, and those who are mistreated, since you also are in the body.
Heb 13:1–3

Brotherly Love in Christ
Christian love is not an abstract idea but a living reality, rooted in Christ’s love for us. The writer of Hebrews exhorts us to love one another as brothers, show hospitality to strangers, and remember the imprisoned and mistreated as if we shared in their suffering. This love flows from the cross, where Jesus bore our sins and made us His own. The world’s love is often self-serving, but Christ’s love is sacrificial. He welcomed sinners, dined with outcasts, and suffered for the unworthy, you and me. Because of His mercy, we are freed to love our neighbor, not out of obligation, but as a reflection of Christ’s love for us. Hospitality, compassion, and care for the suffering are not burdens but opportunities to serve our Savior. In loving others, we bear witness to the love that saved us. Lord, strengthen us to love as You have loved us. Amen.
