Earthly Wisdom Fails, But Christ Reigns

2 In the second year of the reign of Nebuchadnezzar, Nebuchadnezzar had dreams; his spirit was troubled, and his sleep left him. 2 Then the king commanded that the magicians, the enchanters, the sorcerers, and the Chaldeans be summoned to tell the king his dreams. So they came in and stood before the king. 3 And the king said to them, “I had a dream, and my spirit is troubled to know the dream.”
Daniel 2:1-3

Earthly Wisdom Fails, But Christ Reigns
King Nebuchadnezzar had power, wealth, and influence, yet his troubling dreams left him restless. His wisest counselors could not ease his mind or reveal the meaning of his visions. The wisdom of this world, no matter how great, fails when it comes to the deep mysteries of life and eternity. Like Nebuchadnezzar, we often seek security in human knowledge, achievements, or power. Yet, true wisdom comes only from God, who reveals His will through His Word. Daniel knew this and pointed not to himself but to the Lord as the source of all wisdom. At the heart of God’s revelation is Christ, the wisdom of God in the flesh. The cross, which seems like foolishness to the world, is the ultimate revelation of God’s plan of salvation. When our hearts are troubled, we find peace not in earthly wisdom, but in the crucified and risen Savior, who reigns forever.
