Kingdom Divided
24 “Then from his presence the hand was sent, and this writing was inscribed. 25 And this is the writing that was inscribed: MENE, MENE, TEKEL, and PARSIN. 26 This is the interpretation of the matter: MENE, God has numbered the days of your kingdom and brought it to an end; 27 TEKEL, you have been weighed in the balances and found wanting; 28 PERES, your kingdom is divided and given to the Medes and Persians.”

Kingdom Divided
Christ is Risen! He is Risen, Indeed! Alleluia! The Lord gives and the Lord takes away. He gave the kingdom of Babylon to Balthazzar and he took it from him. It is the Lord who establishes the kingdoms of the world. According to his plan and purpose, he divided this kingdom and gave it to the Medes and the Persians. It was the Medes and the Persians who would send the Israelites back to Jerusalem to build again the temple of the Lord. His presence and good gifts will be given to his people according to his promises. This is the God who comes in the flesh of Mary to save sinners. He died and rose again for you. He died for the remission of all your sins and he was raised for your justification. You have been declared right with God again. Thanks be to God that he has given us Jesus. Alleluia! In the name of +Jesus. Amen.
