Robes of Righteousness

29 Then Belshazzar gave the command, and Daniel was clothed with purple, a chain of gold was put around his neck, and a proclamation was made about him, that he should be the third ruler in the kingdom. 30 That very night Belshazzar the Chaldean king was killed. 31 And Darius the Mede received the kingdom, being about sixty-two years old.
Daniel 5:29-31

Robes of Righteousness

In the name of the Father and the +Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen. Christ is Risen! He is Risen, Indeed! Alleluia! The Word of the Lord always comes to pass. The Word of the Lord is the only thing that endures in this world and life. All other things come to pass. The great kingdom of Nebuchadnezzar comes to a close and the Medes take over. And one day the Medes handed over their kingdom to another. Even the physical and material things we depend upon will crumble and decay. However, your God has sent his Son, our Lord Jesus Christ to make you forever his own child. This Word of God become flesh and blood, dies to pay for your sin and then is raised from the dead to justify you before God. He clothes you in a robe of righteousness and bids you call upon him as a child calls upon his father. You have become his own forever. He conquered death and you will live forever in him. In the name of +Jesus. Amen.
