His Hour
30 So they were seeking to arrest him, but no one laid a hand on him, because his hour had not yet come. 31 Yet many of the people believed in him. They said, “When the Christ appears, will he do more signs than this man has done?”

His Hour
Jesus comes into this world to save sinners. By his Word he heals the sick and casts out demons, but all these things are nothing compared to the moment of his cross. All the anger and the rage of the world will be foisted on him in that hour. The sins of the world will be placed upon him and the devil will be crushed under his feet. When Jesus says, “It is finished!” the hour of forgiveness, life, and salvation came upon the whole world. Indeed, Jesus does the greatest work that the world has ever seen. Upon the cross, when his hour had come, he transforms you to be a child of God and gives you the gifts of heaven itself.
