Father Abraham Had Many Sons
39 They answered him, “Abraham is our father.” Jesus said to them, “If you were Abraham’s children, you would be doing the works Abraham did, 40 but now you seek to kill me, a man who has told you the truth that I heard from God. This is not what Abraham did.

Father Abraham Had Many Sons
Abraham’s children have faith in Jesus. Abraham was saved by the promise of a Savior. So are you. There is no one that is saved by the Law. Our heart thinks it can justify itself. It cannot. We are selfish and unkind. We harbor anger and carry grudges. We destroy and tear down. The Law leaves us in the wake of its terror. We must be rescued. The rescue was promised long ago. The Word was given to Satan in the Garden of Eden. Adam and Eve heard it. The promise resounded from age to age, from Abraham to Isaac and to Jacob. This promise is fulfilled in Jesus. He is the very Seed of the Woman that crushes the head of the serpent. He is the One that makes you alive and pushes you to do like he pushed Abraham. Thanks be to God for his Son. This Jesus transforms us. We are sons and daughters of Abraham. We are set free to live forever in Jesus.
