27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. 28 I give them eternal life, and they will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand. 29 My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all, and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father’s hand. 30 I and the Father are one.”

I and the Father are One
Jesus knows his sheep. He is the true and good Shepherd that has compassion on his sheep. He leads them to the best waters and the best pastures. He guards and keeps them from all danger. He takes on the wolf for them. He lays down his life for them and in so doing ensures that they will live forever. His death places you in the hand of the Heavenly Father. That is the safest place to be. No one can snatch you out of that hand. Rejoice and sing praises! The God that made the heavens and the earth has saved you from your greatest foe. You have been given eternal life in him.
