12 “Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever believes in me will also do the works that I do; and greater works than these will he do, because I am going to the Father. 13 Whatever you ask in my name, this I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. 14 If you ask me anything in my name, I will do it.

Ask
Without Jesus we can do nothing. With Jesus we do all things. Our works become something heavenly when we do them in Jesus. This is the glory of the Father. In Jesus, our wills are conformed to the Heavenly Father. We have the image of God in our Baptism in Jesus. Jesus restores us. Jesus saves us from wrath and destruction. He makes you a child of God and beckons you to ask the Father in his name. Call upon that name like a dear child asks his dear father. You have been tenderly invited. The Holy Spirit fills your mouth with his praise and informs your prayers. You pray because of your faith. It is the language of faith. This is the Jesus that does. He always accomplishes what he sets out to do. He does it all for you.
