Another Helper
15 “If you love me, you will keep my commandments. 16 And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Helper, to be with you forever, 17 even the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees him nor knows him. You know him, for he dwells with you and will be in you.

Another Helper
The world cannot receive the Holy Spirit. It neither sees nor knows him. The world requires proof. Faith clings to the Word of God and the promises made to you. This Word has been made flesh and died and rose again for you. No greater love has ever been given. The Love of the cross changes you and me. We couldn't love, but now the Holy Spirit dwells in us forever. This Holy Spirit dwells with you and in you. He brings to you the very spoils of Jesus' cross: forgiveness, life, and salvation. That's not all of it, though. He transforms your heart into a temple and you into a lover. By his work, you love God with all that you have and are. By his work, you love your neighbor and take on their burdens. This Spirit builds you up, one Christian upon another into a spiritual house. You know him. He is the Holy Spirit and he dwells in you.
