His Guidance
They turn around and around by his guidance, to accomplish all that he commands them on the face of the habitable world. Whether for correction or for his land or for love, he causes it to happen.

His Guidance
We are told in God’s Word to look to His creation and how He cares for it when we doubt His love and care for us (Matthew 6:25-34). In these verses, we are reminded of this as well. Elihu reminds us that God is in control. The clouds go round by His guidance and accomplish His will. At times the rain is withheld so that we might remember to rely on God and trust solely in Him and not in earthly princes (1 Kings 17:1). He also used the rain and water to cleanse the earth’s wickedness during the flood. Yet through these times, God still watched over His people. He brought the rain to end the drought, and He had the water recede as He placed a bow in the sky as a promise to us. God’s creation is His to control, and He does so for our benefit. “God gives daily bread, even without our prayer, to all wicked people.” He does not withhold His love and mercy but abundantly showers them upon us. And in His guidance, He draws us nearer to Him through the sacrifice of His only Son, Jesus Christ. The Father’s will was done through the Son so that we can now have a relationship with Him. He guides us through the valley of the shadow of death to lie down in His green pastures. For we have been made to hear and know the voice of our Good Shepherd and follow Him.
