At Your Right Hand

I have set the LORD always before me; because He is at my right hand, I shall not be shaken.
PSALM 16:8

At Your Right Hand
Not only for Christ but for all Christians the Lord is at the right hand. But at Christ's and our right hand are the things of the soul and the spiritual things, while on the left hand are the temporal things and those of the body. Therefore the Lord is at our right hand when He stands by for faith, grace, humility, chastity, and everything that is for the salvation of the soul, so that it may not lack them but rather make progress. Not on the left hand, however, since He is not present for the body and the things of the body, yes, He lets it be scourged, humbled, suffer want, and be afflicted. And therefore it is rather the devil who is at our left hand. 1 Peter 5:8 reads: "Your adversary, the devil, prowls around like a lion, seeking, etc." However, the Lord is in our midst (Psalm 46:7). But the devil is outside, going around, and therefore at our left hand.
