Sacrifices of Praise

15 Through him then let us continually offer up a sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of lips that acknowledge his name. 16 Do not neglect to do good and to share what you have, for such sacrifices are pleasing to God.
Heb 13:15–16

Sacrifices of Praise

Through Jesus, we offer sacrifices—not to earn God’s favor, but in response to His mercy. Our lips confess His name, declaring the salvation won on the cross. This is the fruit of faith, given by grace. Our works, too, flow from His work, for even our good deeds are prepared in advance by God (Eph. 2:10). The world views sacrifice as loss, but in Christ, sacrifice is joy. He bore the ultimate cost, suffering outside the gate for our redemption. Now, we gladly give what we have, praise, service, and love, knowing we are secure in Him. Such sacrifices please God, not because of our worth, but because they spring from the righteousness of Christ. As we confess His name and serve our neighbor, we bear witness to the One who first loved us. This is true worship: living by faith in the crucified and risen Savior.
