11 Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen. 2 For by it the people of old received their commendation. 3 By faith we understand that the universe was created by the word of God, so that what is seen was not made out of things that are visible.

Of Things Not Seen
In the name of the Father and the +Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen. Your faith connects you to Jesus. Blessed are you that believe and yet have not seen him. You have the full assurance of the things hoped for. Your heart is convicted. This Word of God is performative. By speaking, God created the heavens and the earth. He sent that Word incarnate to us. The Word made flesh died upon the cross to speak you forgiven. The Word of God made flesh rose from death and lives to all eternity to have you as his own. He declares you Children of God. And he promises to come again. Faith connects you to Jesus and to his cross and to his resurrection and he will come again for you. In the name of +Jesus. Amen.
