Cling to Christ

Simon Peter answered Him, "Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life."
JOHN 6:68

Cling to Christ
The Christian Church emulates the example set here by St. Peter and says: "To whom shall we go? Lord, I know none but Thee. I know of no other message; Thou hast words of life. Thy sermon has the proper ring; it is impressive and vigorous; its bones are full of marrow; it delivers from eternal death, from sin, and from all misery." . . . Where eternal life and salvation are concerned, St. Peter and all godly men dismiss all other doctrines and know of none but that of this one Man Christ . . .. Those words will satisfy me. This is beautifully spoken. He will not attach himself to the physical form of Christ but will cling to His words. And to them we, too, will adhere; for these words impart eternal life.
