Waging War

But thanks be to God, who in Christ always leads us in triumphal procession.

Waging War
Here above all we must know that God is among us and fights for us, and in this knowledge we wage the wars of the Lord with safety and good cheer. Our powers, however, which are wisdom, knowledge, understanding, as well as our weapons, namely, the sword of the Spirit and Scripture, are nothing but the outward work under which God Himself is powerful among us and fights and conquers. Thus Paul says (2 Corinthians 10:4): "Our weapons are not flesh, but the power of God," lest we boast as though we were the conquerors; but God alone, who works all in all for us, makes us triumph in every place (2 Corinthians 2:14).
