All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness.

The Purpose of Scripture
The purpose of the whole Scripture is this: to teach, reprove, correct, and train in righteousness, so that the man of God may be perfect for every good work, as Paul says in 2 Timothy 3:16-17. Those who fail to observe this purpose, even if they create the impression of erudition among the unlettered by their divinations, nevertheless are ignorant of the true essence of Scripture.
