Speak Without Fear
For he is not a man, as I am, that I might answer him, that we should come to trial together. There is no arbiter between us, who might lay his hand on us both. Let him take his rod away from me, and let not dread of him terrify me. Then I would speak without fear of him, for I am not so in myself.

Speak Without Fear
Job longs for someone to speak up for him. He begs for someone to plead his case before God. For he knows he cannot. He knows that no mere mortal man could stand before God and plead innocent, to claim sinlessness. But Job was given, as were you, an Arbiter. Someone who could stand between God and man in the flesh. Our Savior, Jesus Christ was given over to death, even death on a cross, so that we could have life. Because Christ, in the flesh lived a perfect, sinless life, He was able to do what no one else could do, fulfill the Law. So that when God’s wrath was poured out upon Him the sins which were punished were not His but yours. Your sins were paid for on Calvary. Your sins were atoned for and blotted out. So now you can approach the Father and speak without fear, for you are clothed in white robes which have been washed and made clean through the blood of the Lamb. You can speak to your Father, “so that we may ask Him confidently with all assurance, as dear children ask their dear father.”
