Steadfast Love
Did you not pour me out like milk and curdle me like cheese? You clothed me with skin and flesh, and knit me together with bones and sinews. You have granted me life and steadfast love, and your care has preserved my spirit.
Job 10:10-12

Steadfast Love
God’s Word is clear. He is the giver of life, and that life begins at conception. Job here illustrates how God does this, the care and detail He takes to personally form you in your mother’s womb. Yet we live in a world which says life begins whenever those who are already living decide. It could be at conception, or it could be even after the child has been born. And depending on one’s opinion that life can be terminated anytime in between. The devil makes a mockery of God’s gift of life in the lie that there is a choice to be made in determining when a person is a person. The clear witness of Scripture is that life begins at conception, and it is not merely a result of a physical union between a man and a woman but is in fact a work of God’s hands. He knits us together; His hands are there in forming our inner being. His steadfast love preserves our spirit. And our flesh and blood was rescued from sin, death, and the devil, by the flesh and blood of Jesus, as He gave Himself unto death, even death on a cross, so that we might live, so that our spirit might be preserved.
