Continued Blessings
And the LORD blessed the latter days of Job more than his beginning. And he had 14,000 sheep, 6,000 camels, 1,000 yoke of oxen, and 1,000 female donkeys.

Continued Blessings
As Job was restored through God’s forgiveness, his blessings continued throughout the rest of his life. The livestock that was taken at the beginning of the book of Job is now here restored two-fold. Job was a wealthy man at the beginning and now he is even more so! And so we also receive a picture of our lives. Though we may not be wealthy in material possession we have something worth more than all the treasures of this earth. We have the faith to know Christ as our Savior. At the beginning of our lives, we are blessed. We are blessed in the fact that we are given life itself. God gave us a body and soul. Yet because of our inherited sin, we lose everything. We are set against God and reject His love. We are in a worse condition than even Job. But in our latter days, that is to say, the days after God calls us to faith, we are blessed doubly. Our body and soul once again are restored to God’s heavenly kingdom, and we walk in the newness of life which is found only in Christ Jesus. And in the end, we are called home to Him to live a life of eternal blessings.
