Christ’s Anointing
I write these things to you about those who are trying to deceive you. But the anointing that you received from him abides in you, and you have no need that anyone should teach you. But as his anointing teaches you about everything, and is true, and is no lie—just as it has taught you, abide in him.

Christ’s Anointing
Dear Christian, we have been anointed. Christ has given us life through the water and the Word and sustains it through that same Word and in giving us His true body and blood. We need never be led astray by false teachers. As true Christians, we abide in Christ through faith in Him and all His teachings. There are many antichrists, those false teachers who infiltrate the Church and attempt to lead us away from the true Christ. Be mindful of these false teachers, for there is great danger for us if we do not know the Scriptures well and are unable to recognize these false teachers. In God’s Word and by His Spirit, we have everything we need to tell the difference between the truth and a lie. We already have all that we need to be certain of our eternal life. We have the true Christ and in Him we abide.
