It was now two days before the Passover and the Feast of Unleavened Bread. And the chief priests and the scribes were seeking how to arrest him by stealth and kill him, for they said, “Not during the feast, lest there be an uproar from the people.â€

God's Gracious Plan
Here we witness the Jewish leaders' plot to arrest and kill Jesus discreetly. They fear His growing influence and seek to eliminate Him quickly. Yet, amid their sinister schemes, God is at work, orchestrating His divine plan of salvation. Even the opposition of Jesus' enemies serves His gracious purposes. In our own lives, we encounter trials and sufferings that seem insurmountable. Like the plot against our Lord, these challenges may appear to disrupt our peace. But we can trust that God is working through these moments, bringing about good. He uses even our hardships to shape us, draw us closer to Him, and fulfill His loving purposes. Pray for His aid and comfort in times of trouble, trusting that He has a plan for you. Rejoice in knowing His ultimate plan of salvation through Jesus Christ, who has borne our sins and secured our eternal life. What a profound joy it is to rest in His unfailing love, secure at the foot of His cross.
