Wait for One Another

33 So then, my brothers, when you come together to eat, wait for one another— 34 if anyone is hungry, let him eat at home—so that when you come together it will not be for judgment. About the other things I will give directions when I come.
1 Corinthians 11:33-34

Wait for One Another

In the Lord’s Supper, we are united in Christ’s body and blood, receiving His forgiveness and proclaiming His death until He comes again. Paul urges the Corinthians to wait for one another, ensuring that the meal is celebrated with reverence and unity. The division in Corinth disrupted the purpose of the sacrament. Some indulged, while others went without. As we approach the altar, we do so as equals—sinners in need of grace. This sacrament is a gift for all, uniting us in Christ’s love and sacrifice. Let us come together in humility, caring for one another as we share in this holy meal. Lord, help us approach Your table with unity and humility, reflecting the grace You’ve given to us.
