We Speak In Christ
14 But thanks be to God, who in Christ always leads us in triumphal procession, and through us spreads the fragrance of the knowledge of him everywhere. 15 For we are the aroma of Christ to God among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing, 16 to one a fragrance from death to death, to the other a fragrance from life to life. Who is sufficient for these things? 17 For we are not, like so many, peddlers of God’s word, but as men of sincerity, as commissioned by God, in the sight of God we speak in Christ.

We Speak In Christ
Our sin has caused death and we can do nothing to get out of it. But Christ loves people too much to just let them die. He will not have it that his prize creation is locked up in damnation for all eternity. Thus he becomes part of the creation. He is conceived by the Holy Spirit of the Virgin Mary and is made Man. Born to take on the Law and fulfill it perfectly. Born to take on the punishment that we deserve so that we don’t have to. He did it all. He did it perfectly. He used his own blood and his own suffering and death to buy you back from the devil and death. He rose again triumphant over death so that death could no longer taunt and destroy. This powerful victory is deliverd to you by the preaching of Paul and Titus and your pastor, too. That preaching is the sweet fragrance of Christ’s love that wafts up to the Heavenly Father on your behalf. In the sight of God, these servants of God speak in Christ and Christ saves you.
