The Radiance of God's Glory

1 Long ago, at many times and in many ways, God spoke to our fathers by the prophets, 2 but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed the heir of all things, through whom also he created the world. 3 He is the radiance of the glory of God and the exact imprint of his nature, and he upholds the universe by the word of his power. After making purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high, 4 having become as much superior to angels as the name he has inherited is more excellent than theirs.

The Radiance of God's Glory
In ages past, God spoke through prophets, revealing His will in diverse ways. Yet in these last days, He has spoken through His Son, Jesus Christ, who is the radiance of God's glory and the exact imprint of His nature. Jesus, the Word made flesh, not only speaks for God but is God, taking on human flesh to dwell among us. The heart of His revelation is the cross. There, He bore our sins, securing purification through His perfect sacrifice. No prophet could accomplish this; only the Son, seated at the right hand of the Majesty on high, could fulfill this redemptive plan. Through Jesus, we see God’s steadfast love and mercy clearly. His Word continues to sustain creation and draw us closer to the Father. Fix your eyes on Him, for He is the ultimate expression of God's grace, revealed in the shadow of the cross.
