Unchanging in a Changing World
10 And,
“You, Lord, laid the foundation of the earth in the beginning,
and the heavens are the work of your hands;
11 they will perish, but you remain;
they will all wear out like a garment,
12 like a robe you will roll them up,
like a garment they will be changed.
But you are the same,
and your years will have no end.”
Heb 1:10–12

Unchanging in a Changing World
The world around us is in constant motion. Mountains erode, stars burn out, and our own lives are marked by change. Yet, our comfort rests in this truth: our God remains unchanging. While creation is described as wearing out like a garment, God’s nature, purpose, and promises stand firm forever. The writer of Hebrews reveals that this unchanging God is none other than Christ, through whom all things were made. Though He took on frail human flesh and submitted to death on the cross, He rose victorious, showing that even death cannot alter His eternal reign. As we face the uncertainties of life, we cling to the unchanging Christ, who remains our refuge and strength. His sacrifice on the cross ensures our salvation, and His steadfast love sustains us. In Him, we find peace, for His Word and His promises endure forever.
