A Little Lower

Now in putting everything in subjection to him, he left nothing outside his control. At present, we do not yet see everything in subjection to him. 9 But we see him who for a little while was made lower than the angels, namely Jesus, crowned with glory and honor because of the suffering of death, so that by the grace of God he might taste death for everyone.

A Little Lower
In the name of the Father and the +Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen. The great mystery of our God is that he takes on our human flesh. He does not just come in the form of a man, but he comes to us as a man. He makes himself lower than the angels. He condescends to our level. He humiliates himself to save us. However, it was only for a little while. In his cross he is exalted. He is crowned with glory and honor. He takes your humanity above the angels. Now you who believe in him will not see death. He took it for you and now you live in him forever. All things remain in subjection to him. Your enemies are defeated. Your life has been obtained. You are his forever. In the name of +Jesus. Amen.
